He Will Move Mountains

As we face challenges in our lives, there are a number of reasons we might not pray. We may tell ourselves that we are too busy to pray. We may think we can solve the problem on our own. Or we may think God does not answer our prayers. And even if we eventually pray, we sometimes do it out of duty rather than faith that God will answer us.
Yet, God hears our prayers. Jesus told His disciples that only faith the size of a mustard seed was needed to move mountains. A small measure of faith can have an amazing impact in our lives.
As we begin to pray with faith, we are emboldened to believe God will do the impossible in our lives. When God answers our prayers, His glory is revealed. We must remember that God does answer our prayers in one way or another. It may not always be the way we imagined, but His best is always at work.
We are reminded in Hebrews 4:16 to approach God’s throne of grace confidently. This confidence does not mean that we demand God do things our way but rather that we should feel free to approach our Almighty Father with everything—whether a minor concern, a paralyzing problem, a bold request, or a moment of praise and joy. He wants us to come before Him with confidence that He loves us and desires to help us.
All our cynicism begins to vanish as God answers our prayers. When heaven opens up and pours out miracles into our lives, we realize the Truth. We realize He loves us so much that He will move mountains for us. Hallelujah to the King of kings!
Prayer: Lord, give me confidence to go before You in prayer, knowing that You desire to meet me where I am in life. Give me faith to believe You for the impossible things in my life and in the lives of others. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).
